How to Use Chasqui's AI Agent
The AI agent is the heart of Chasqui. It's a conversational interface that searches your network, preps you for meetings, tracks action items, and helps you craft outreach, all through natural language.
Getting Started
The AI agent lives on your Dashboard. When you first open it, you'll see:
- Quick prompts — Suggested queries based on your networking goals
- Chat input — A text box where you can type any question
- Chat history — A sidebar showing your past conversations
- Network Stats — Stats on how strong your network is according to Chasqui
Type a question or click a quick prompt to start a conversation. Make sure you are properly setup to get the most out of Chasqui before you begin.
What You Can Ask
Find People in Your Network
The agent searches across all your contacts, relationship data, and connected accounts:
- "Who in my network works in venture capital?"
- "Find contacts at companies that recently raised Series B"
- "Which of my connections are in the healthcare industry?"
- "Show me my strongest contacts in the Bay Area"
Discover Warm Introduction Paths
Chasqui's most powerful capability, finding paths to people you want to reach:
- "Who can introduce me to the CTO of Datadog?"
- "Find warm paths to investors who focus on B2B SaaS"
- "How am I connected to people at Goldman Sachs?"
The agent checks your 1st degree contacts, 2nd degree connections (through other Chasqui users), and public mutual connections.
Prepare for Meetings
Before an important meeting, ask the agent for a briefing in your Dashboard or generate one within your Calendar event directly:
- "Prepare me for my meeting with @Sarah Chen tomorrow"
- "What should I know before my call with Acme Corp?"
- "Give me talking points for my investor meeting on Friday"
Meeting prep includes attendee profiles, past meeting history, relevant goals, and suggested talking points. For sales calls, the agent can also recommend sales methodologies and discovery questions.
Manage Action Items
Track follow-ups and tasks from Action Items directly through the agent:
- "What action items do I have due this week?"
- "What are my highest priority followups?"
- "Show me my overdue tasks"
Get Networking Insights
Ask broader questions about your network health and strategy:
- "What can my network do for me today?"
- "Which connections should I reconnect with?"
- "Analyze my network's industry distribution"
Research Companies
Get intelligence on target companies for outreach:
- "Tell me about Stripe's recent initiatives"
- "List the top 10 fintech companies in New York"
- "What do I know about people at the company where @Amy works?"
Using @Mentions
@Mentions let you inject specific context into your queries. Type @ in the chat input to search for:
- Contacts — Pull in a specific person's full profile data
- Meetings — Reference a specific meeting's notes, transcript, or attendees
- Action Items — Reference a specific task or follow-up
When you @mention something, the AI automatically fetches all the relevant data behind the scenes. You see a clean "@Name" in the chat, while the AI gets the full context.
Example:
"@Marcus Rivera mentioned a contact at Sequoia during our last meeting. Can you find who that might be and suggest how to get an intro?"
Reading the Results
Contact Cards
Hover over any bolded contact name in the AI's response to see a rich preview card showing:
- Profile photo, name, title, and company
- Social links (LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.)
- How you know them (relationship type badges)
- Groups you share
- For 2nd degree contacts: who can introduce you and how they know each other
If they are a first degree contact Click View Contact -> to go to their contact detail page.
Tool Progress
For complex queries, the agent uses multiple tools behind the scenes. You'll see real-time status indicators showing what it's doing, here is a list of all the tool calls and what they mean:
- Finding relevant entities: Finding relavent companies or institutions for your query
- Getting aliases: Finding aliases of companies or institutions
- Searching your network: Searching the network graph to find connections that match your query
- Choosing best candidates: Reranking results to find the most relavent connections
- Getting user info: Getting your personal or business information to refine the query
- Getting contact info: Getting information about a specific contact
- Getting meeting info: Getting information about specific meetings
- Getting action items: Getting information about action items
- Researching potential connections: Researching potentional connections not from the network graph, this is a fallback tool that will guess at potential connections.
Tips for Better Results
-
Be specific — "Find VPs of Sales at enterprise SaaS companies in my network" gets better results than "Find sales people"
-
Set goals first — The AI uses your networking goals to rank and prioritize results. Without goals, it doesn't know what matters most to you.
-
Add relationship data — A contact with just a name and email gives the AI very little to work with. Add relationship types, notes, and tags for dramatically better results.
-
Use follow-up questions — The agent remembers the conversation context. Ask "Can you draft an intro request to the first person?" after getting search results.
-
Try different angles — If one query doesn't find what you need, rephrase it. Try searching by company, role, industry, location, or relationship type.
-
Mention specific contacts — Using @mentions gives the AI much richer context than just typing a name.
Managing Chat Sessions
- New Chat — Click "New Chat" in the sidebar to start a fresh conversation for a different topic
- Rename — Click the pencil icon next to a chat title to give it a descriptive name
- Delete — Remove old conversations you no longer need
- Revisit — Click any past chat in the sidebar to pick up where you left off
Chat sessions are saved automatically, so you never lose a useful conversation.

Your plan determines how many AI queries you can make per month:
